Dear all,
I am getting some frequent STOP 0x8E errors on a range of DL385 G2-G5 servers, with varying levels of PSP and Firmware.
The crashudmp analysis usually blames NetBT.sys, and sometimes cpqteam.sys.
The versions of these files are different across the different servers. The only common factor seems to be the NC373i NICs (although again, the driver versions are different).
The dumps usually show 0x80000003 as Arg1 (hard-coded breakpoint), but sometimes 0xC0000005 (status_access_violation).
This has happened so many times now on so many servers that I'm beginning to think it may be a known issue on the DL385s (it doesn't seem to affect blades, virtuals or Dells).
Has anyone else seen similar in their environments?
Thanks,
Adam.

Re: DL385 STOP errors
known issue.
make sure latest NIC firmware, Driver and NCU is installed and SNP is disable.
SNP = scalable network pack (disable TOE and RSS from NCU NIC properties)...More SNP info http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948496

Re: DL385 STOP errors
Thanks, Juan.
Do you know if there is any technote which says that NC373i adapters (or the teaming driver) do not support SNP features in SP2?
I'd like some concrete I can take to the change board, which says something like "versions X and Y of this driver do not support TOE/RSS/etc".
Thanks again,
Adam.
