DL385 Temperature sensor locations

Where are the temperature sensors in DL385 G2 and/or G5 models? I'm constantly getting temperatures between 50-52 degrees C in zone 6 (I/O Board) on a G2 while idle, but I don't know where it is, or whether it's indicative of a problem. It's about 10 degrees hotter than every other sensor.

Hello Mark,
what is your firmware level? There is one older Advisory related to temperaturee sensor - probably worth to try...

Re: DL385 Temperature sensor locations

The actual temperature reading is only significant in relation to the threshold. What is the caution threshold for that sensor on the SMH? The fact that it's hotter than others only means that it may be closer to the heat source and doesn't have as much airflow.

Re: DL385 Temperature sensor locations

It's still more than 10 degrees under the threshold, so I'm not worried about it. I'm making changes in the airflow of the cabinet, however, so I'm curious where it is, and whether the changes are responsible for temperature difference or whether it just always reads higher than the rest of the sensors.

It is near the drives in the front? Is it in the riser in the back? Out by the hot young intern's desk?
