Does HP ProLiant DL380 G3 support the 300GB ULTRA320 SCSI 15K RPM Hard Drive?

Does the HP ProLiant DL380 G3 support the
HP/COMPAQ 300GB ULTRA320 SCSI 15K RPM Hot Pluggable Universal Hard Drive (411089-B22)

However, I cannot find the hard disk drive on the DL380 G3 quickspec.

What kind of controller do you have?

5i Plus?

All our DL380 G3 servers have HP Smart Array 5i Controller.
Some DL380 G3 servers also have HP Smart Array 5300 Controller which connect to an external disk array. The disk array can house a maximum of 14 disk drives.

this is biggest supported
146.8GB 10,000 rpm, U320 Universal Hard Drive, 1" 286716-B22

and for 5300 the biggest is
72.8GB 15,000 rpm, U320 Universal Hard Drive, 1" 286778-B22

Can you recommend the upgrade required so that the HP 300GB ULTRA320 SCSI 15K RPM Hot Pluggable Hard Drive is supported in
1) our DL380 G3 servers that have HP Smart Array 5i Controller only, and
2) our DL380 G3 servers that have HP Smart Array 5i Controller and HP Smart Array 5300 Controller?

on the other hand
5300 controller the biggest one supported is
300GB 10,000 rpm, U320 Universal Hard Drive, 1" 350964-B22

it's 300 gb but 10k

there another option just recommendation
buy new Controller like:

Smart Array 6400 Controller (which IS supported by your server)
this supports the HDD you want add
HP 300GB U320 15K Universal HDD - 411089-B22

also these ones which are supported by your server
HP Smart Array 642 Controller - 291967-B21
HP Smart Array 641 Controller - 291966-B21
