Drive Failure 14TB not reporting in AHS or iLO logs
Has anyone come across a 14TB Drive Failures (or any drive failure) that didn't report to the AHS or iLO logs on a DL380G10 Proliant Server? If so, what logs were used to identify the failure like the Operating Systerm, etc.?

Re: Drive Failure 14TB not reporting in AHS or iLO logs
Hi,
At least I am tot aware of such issue.
If AHS and IML is not picking up the issue, you can check the physical led on the drive itself or Array Diagnostics from Smart Storage Administrator or from Intelligent Provisioning.
If there are multiple failure of any drive, check if it needs a firmware update.

Re: Drive Failure 14TB not reporting in AHS or iLO logs
Hello,
This would be highly dependent on the controller being able to detect the type of drive failure. Is this particular drive part of an array? Are you seeing the failure LED lit on the drive or is there some other method you are using the see the drive is "failed" (info from host OS maybe)? I have seen behavior where the drive is attached to an "HBA" and the only indication of the failure is from with the host OS.
