Expanding SCSII disk

Server: ProLiant DL380 G2
Array controller: Smart Array 5i Controller on System Board

Hello.
I have 2 array in my setup.
Array A = 1+0 Logical Drive 1
with 2 disk.
Array B = 1+0 Logical Drive 2
with 4 disk

all disk are in use.
no sparedisk

in windows logical Drive 1 is C:\
and Logical Drive 2 is D:\

I want to expand the size of D:\
can it be done on a windows 2000 server ?
what I think is the way to do it is
1) place a new bigger size disk in array wait for it to finsish rebulding .Continue until all disk in array B is changed.
2) hmmm. Use windows diskmanagement to increase the d:\ volume ??
can someone help me out what to do?

Re: Expanding SCSII disk

As you already have 6 disks, you cannot add disks to expand the array. You can replace them one by one by bigger disks. This will lead to a bigger array, but the logical drive 2 will still be the same size.
You must use ACU to extend the logical drive 2 to the full size of the new disks.

But this will only change the hardware, to modifiy the Windows partition you need to use the diskpart utility. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325590
