Faster way to convert a Raid 0 logical drive to Raid 1

Hi all,

is there a way to add a physical disk to a single disk raid 0 configuration and directly convert it to raid 1?
It looks so, that if I add a 2nd disk to the logical drive or array, the controller always first extend the logical drive to both physical disks. Only after that step I'm able to change the raid level to raid 1.
With 10TB disks each step takes about 2 days. So a Raid 0 to Raid 1 convertion for a single logical dive takes about 4 days...

Is there a way to run the covertion in a single step - without backup/restore ;-)?

Many thanks in advance,

Arnd

Hello,

You may refer to point 5 on page 32 of the section "Modifying an Array" in the "HPE Smart Storage Administrator GUI User Guide", you may select the option "Mirror Array - Double the number of drives in the array and convert all logical drives to RAID 1(+0)".

Before performing this operation, please have a full backup of server data in the even of a failure to restore from it.
