Finding system specs using serial number
Click here to find system specs using serial number: https://partsurfer.hpe.com/
Is it possible to enter just the serial number of a Proliant server somewhere on the HP site and have it return the hardware information of the system? Something similar to what Dell has for their systems? Or does all that become available if I register the server under my account? I'm looking for an easy way to get a hardware list of a bunch of servers that are literally lying around on the server room floor without having to power each one up. Thanks.
Bill

Re: Finding system specs using serial number
maybe this link to the info you want
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/wc/public/home
it may describe the systems as delivered from factory.
offcourse HP doesn't know what options you added/removed.

Re: Finding system specs using serial number
with the serial number you confirm the model details.
with the model you can retrieve the all documentation (including quickspecs) through https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home

Re: Finding system specs using serial number
Of course that is a tool for that:
http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx
I cannot imagine a Company like HP without a tool like that; and for me HP is superior in tools and support compare against DELL or the other competitors!!
Cheers friend!!

Re: Finding system specs using serial number
This seems like the list of parts for a serial, not the server specs of the serial initially sold.

Re: Finding system specs using serial number
For server specs look up the quickspecs of the model.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
