Gen8 DL380P Black screen and no ssh connection after some time
Hi guys,
For the last 2 days, I am having a wierd problem with my server that I mostly use with remote control (putty and winscp). It starts well. Then I can sent some jobs with the range of core and ram. The interesting thing is that the ssh connection ends after some time (around 30 min) and never connect again. Additionally, the screen is black with no signal. When I restart it, the same things are happening (starts well and then no connection with black screen). There is no problematic led sigal on it. All are green. When it is opened, I have checked system. All cpu cores, rams, and discs are working well.
Any idea?
Regards,
Cem

Re: Gen8 DL380P Black screen and no ssh connection after some time
Hi,
Are you able to login into iLO GUI? Have you checked the IML log in iLO?
Here are some docs for help.

Betreff: Gen8 DL380P Black screen and no ssh connection after some time
Do you have a local keyboard and screen connected? Is it always 30 minutes? I assume your server goes into some sleep or hibernate state. I wonder if a local keyboard stroke would wake it up...
Or you have a problem with hardware, like the network card.
Do you have access to iLO? In the IML log you can see what happened.
Or someone pranks you and shuts your server down...
