HANGS ONCE A DAY

Hello,
I've a problem with a pl8500R, once a day the server blocks, screen freezes, all the leds of the hard drives are on and even the led of the
floppy drive is on, the server is equiped with 2 xeon proc (700mhz)
1.2 gb mem, we have already replaced the system board and the problem
came back, now we have replaced also the I/O board (we don't know yet if the server is still working). There are no error logs in the event vieuwer or the integrated managment log.
Is this problem caused by the one of these boards or is it something else???? drive cage or raid ctrl??????

Hi, I guest you must have tried to let it run in the f10; if it block then it rule out the software part. Also if its definitely hardware check for memory as well; Compaq memory and you can bring it to its minimum; any non Compaq devices? Check the firware on the system and raid controller (need to be the latest) Hope these will help
