My ProLiant DL380 G7 was wiped by a tech company we were using. They installed a linux on it. I needed to use this server for an application test environment. The application is a windows application.
Since the tech company installed replibit on it (a linux based backup software), the original windows server install and all the HP tools on it were blown away.
Since I needed the server, I installed WIndows Server 2016 on it (application requirement). Every thing went fine and the server is now running windows server 2016. Problem is that one of the 2.5" HP hard drives has a solid amber light on. I have replaced this drive with a brand new one that is identical. Problem is , it immediately turned amber.
I want to look at the array, maybe do some diagnostics/repair, but all that HP software is gone. What do I need to get to view the array and possibly do some maintenance on it ?
Is that available on the HPE website ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hardware raid on my DL380 G7
Hi,
Try the Array Diagnostic Utility which is suitable for your server.
HP ProLiant Array Diagnostics and SmartSSD Wear Gauge Utility (GUI and CLI) for Windows

Re: Hardware raid on my DL380 G7
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately when I downloaded it and went to install it get the following:
"The software is not supported for installation on this system.
The OS is not supported.
Press 'Close' to exit Setup."
I have window server 2016 standard installed on this ML380 gen 7 server.
The downloaded version is 9.40.12.0.
Is there a download that will work for my OS ?

SolutionHi,
Please note that, Windows 2016 is not a supported operating system for G7 servers.
Here are the Diagnostic utility links for 2016.
HPE Smart Storage Administrator Diagnostic Utility (HPE SSADU) CLI for Windows 64-bit
HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA) for Windows 64-bit
Thank You!
