I have access to ILO on the machine and that works well.
I have downloaded a couple of BIOS versions but none work. When uploading from ILO it fails.
When I boot using USB ROMPACK, this fails as well saying there are no BIOS versions available.
I tried using the service pack but this boots into grub complaining that my DVD is not connected. Instead I have a SATA SSD connected. on that SATA
Could anyone help?

SolutionHi @Mt1 ,
I would suggest you to download the OS-specific bios and update it. Here is the link for Windows and refer Revision history for latest versions

Re: HP Prolian ML310e Gen 8 v2 BIOS Update
Thanks very much for sorting that out. I didn't know that the J04 range had a different BIOS.
regards
Michael
