Re: HDD caddy
Hi,
Gen8's will have SmartDrive which is not compatible with previous generation servers.
Similarly previous generation drives/caddy not compatible with Gen8.
In Gen8 its called SmartDrive Carrier (SC) and not caddy.
I could not find any valid part number from HP but here is a link for another similar post.
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/GEN8-Drives/td-p/5586039
Service part 651699-001 or 651687-001
If I get a HP part number, I will post it.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee.

HP does not offer the drive carriers as individual items
If you look at the quickspecs for your server model, all the drive option part numbers are listed
