How build an array on ML570 G2...
I have a problem, i need to build an array on a Proliant server ML570 G2.
I have a HP64 bit dual wide ultra 3 scsi controller...based on adaptec 7889.
How can i build the array for a raid installation?
Frankly i did my last array installation in 1999 where i used an adaptec bootable disk wich gave me the opportunity to create the array etc. etc ...but now i cant find anything that let me creat the array :-(
Please help me...
Tanks.
Carlo.

Re: How build an array on ML570 G2...
Once you get a smart controller (5300 or above are very good card) you can configure it via the Array configuration Utility from the smartstart cd or available from HP's website
Hope this helps

Re: How build an array on ML570 G2...
If you have only two disks, then you only can have mirroring. Not sure, but think that you can do the mirroring from Windows, without array controller, from "Disk Management".
Please, don't forget to assign points to Ian.
Kind regards,
Zigor

The SA-6402 is the high-end beast with 2 internal U320 channels:
