How to detect block corruption ?

Hi,

We are using a HP ProLiant Gen8 server for our Oracle 11g database. Recently we experiences block corruption. Database log says that it is a physical corruption. But there was no alert on harddisk. We have RAID 1 configured on the server.

1. Any tolls to automatically detect and notify for block corruption ?

2. Do RAID recovers block corruption ?

Thanks.

Only if the disk reports it failed.  Also, without T10 DIF, the data may have been written wrong.
