How to extend RAID 5 space without loosing data

Hi All,

I am using HP DL380 G7 server and I have RAID 5 configured on it.  I am facing free space issue in D drive and I have added 2 additional hard drive of 1.2 TB. I want to expand my RAID 5 logical drive without lossing the data.

I found some posts that it can be possible via HP array configuration utility but I am not able to understand where exactly we need to install HP array configuration utility.

We are using hyper-V 2012 on this server.

I will appreciate your help on this please.

Hello,

Install "HPE Smart Storage Administrator" then launch it. In the application, select the Controller installed, then select the Array created and the select Expand Array from the menu "Actions".

I got this far but it does not show up in dsik management.  So then what do I do?  I figured t hat it would how up as  unallocaed space on the host. but it doesn't.. ALl my disk partitions are on drive 0.  Do I have to change it to a dymanic disk? right now is ir confugured ad a basic disk..
