HP DL360 System Management tools and VMWare Esx4i
Hi,
I have a Hp Proliant DL360 server that we have just virtualized using VMWare Converter 4 (p2v converter).
Now, the HP DL360 is running VMWare Esx4i, and on top of the hypervisor, the virtual server.
Should I uninstall HP System Tools like HP Array Configuration Utility, HP Array Diagnostic Utility, HP Proliant Integrated Management Log Viewer from the virtual server?
... Since we are running this server as a virtual server?
Do they need to be installed on the Esx4i ??
Thanks

Re: HP DL360 System Management tools and VMWare Esx4i
I would remove all hp software as it is no longer of any use on the vm.
You can't install any hp software utils on the esx4i server. (i.m. agents, acu, etc)
But there is a hp version of the esx4i software that corrected, for me at least, the hardware monitoring. With the vmware version the status of the disk where not reported.
