HP DL380 G7 ESXi vmware interface with vSphere
Hello
For testing and inspection I have a HP DL380 G7 ESXi at this new location. I am attempting to access VMware via Vsphere and a web interface to inspect the virtual machines.
The Ipconfig at this location is:
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : ACCENT00
DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : socal.rr.com
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.220(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
From a local machine I can ping 192.168.1.1
I cannot ping any ip address configured on HP DL380 G7 ESXi.
The ip addresses on ESXi are:
192.168.1.48
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
Primary DNS Server 192.168.1.1
The ESXi ip addresses I was able to change from WMware Management Network though I got an error during those attempts:
"Error setting default gateway failed: unable to set vmkernel gateway address to 192.168.1.1 as there are no vmkernel interfaces on the same network with that ip address"
Let me know what I can do to establish a connected network so that as guest I can access the host to view the virtual machines running on HP DL380 G7 ESXi.
PS is there a way to attach screen shots? Took a few from Management Network....
Thanks!
