HP DL580G5 with ESX4U1 unresponsive (p400 storage disappears)
Hi,
since 3 weeks i have a brand new HP DL580G5 server with the standard P400 storage controler.
At first I installed ESX3.5 and ran it for a week and half without any problems (cloning vm's to it etc...)
Now last week I started over with a whole fresh install of ESX4. Here is where the mistery started.
After booting up the server becomes unresponsive within 30mins. no vc access, no ssh access even no access from the console (I never get to enter the password).
So I took a look at the logs and came to the conclusion that the storage disappears... This storage is local with the integrated HP P400 raid6 array and fully functional 147GB hot plug sas disks.
The only changes from the esx 3.5 setup and esx4 setup are the upgrade of firmware for bios and P400 to latest version.
Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this issue plz?
