Integrated Management Log
We have iLO 2 at one DL360G5.
We had a blinking amber LED at one of our disks. This we've finally replaced with a new disk. Disk LED is green again. It's been nearly a day since we replaced the disk.
I still see Caution messages at the IML.
Caution POST Message 02/02/2010 12:20 02/02/2010 12:20 1 POST Error: 1720-S.M.A.R.T. Hard Drive Detects Imminent Failure
How can I repair this or get rid of these messages? This is an VMware ESXi host hosting 3 VMs.
What can I do here?
Thank you.
Edgar.

Re: Integrated Management Log
I recommend flashing the controller and harddrive firmware, HP posted some advisories about fake predictive failures (you may want to google it)

Re: Integrated Management Log
I only know 3 ways to mark them repaired.
1: using the IML log viewer: Select event - right click - click mark repaired.
You can select multible events.
I't possible to delete messages, but I do not reccomend to do so.
2: using the SMH (System management Homepage) SNMP write or create must be enbled, then you can mark them repaired.
3: use the Insight Diagnostics. On-line if installed or boot from the smart start cd.
Some messages do get mark repaired automatically. I'll guess it's the drivers/agents that do that.
This is written from a windows point of view, wich makes these thing easy and nice.
ESXi, should have SMH installed, so try that.

Insight Manager Web Agent URL: https://IP_ADDRESS_HERE:2381 but it won't work either.

As I wrote. Try with the SMH.
