Hi

I have a hp server is running under Debian 7.I want to buy a HBA card for this server but I don't know if Debian is not compatible with finded card model. is there any reference for check this.

Server Model : HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 E5-2630v2 1P 16GB-R P420i/1GB FBWC 460W PS Server(704559-371)

To debian is not compatible just to the OS below:

• Microsoft Windows Server and Client OS
• » Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• » SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
• » VMware

The H221 is an LSI based SAS controller and uses the mpt2sas driver. I don't have one handy to verify, but it should work with the latest Debian/Ubuntu mpt2sas drivers.
