HP ProLiant DL385 G7 - Memory Config Help Please
I know my dimms are not installed in an optimal manner and for the life of me I cannot figure out the best way to install them and would appreciate any pointers on an optimal setup. I realize they're all different sizes but it's what I have to work with. Image below taken from HP Insight Diagnostics.

Re: HP ProLiant DL385 G7 - Memory Config Help Please
Thank you for the response, but do I just follow the Population Order in alphabetical order by Socket? So first filled would be Socket 1 Order A, next would be Socket 7 Order B, then Socket 4 Order C?

Re: HP ProLiant DL385 G7 - Memory Config Help Please
You are right.
If I remember correctly, the memory sockets are labeled with numbers and letters.
And yes, you have to follow the letters when inserting them.
It still needs to be clarified whether the 16GB are possibly Quad Rank modules; there are additional rules for this.
