Re: HP PROLIANT ML350 G4P memory upgrade (4GB) problem
NOTE: Online Spare Memory is not supported when using 2-rank DIMMs. A total of 8 ranks are supported on the HP ProLiant ML350 G4p, A maximum of 4, 2-rank DIMMs can be populated. If you plan to mix DIMM types, 2-rank DIMMs must be installed in the first bank, 1 rank DIMMs can then be installed in subsequent banks.
This is why the 2Gbyte modules are available in single-rank. If you use 6 single-rank modules (3 sets of 4 Gbytes) giving you 12 Gbytes, you have to use single-rank modules. http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12199_div/12199_div.HTML (click on the 'memory' heading at the top).
Hope this helps you!

Re: HP PROLIANT ML350 G4P memory upgrade (4GB) problem
I would like to get help from regarding our ML350 G4p server.
We're trying to upgrade the Server RAM to maximum 12Gb (2Gb x 6 slots) but so far it only detect 1024MB for each slots.
our RAM are all KTH-MLG4/2G
and BIOS version already upgraded to D19 07/16/2007.
