HP Smartcache license key for Smart Array P420i controller

We have an older ML350p Gen8 server with embedded Smart Array P420i controller, firmware 8.32.

There is no HP Smartcache license key installed, and we would like to unlock the advanced features this provides.

I cannot locate how to purchase this license, seems no longer available as older server. I had read somewhere that HP have made a change to the latest firmware for the P420i controller that bypasses the requirement for a license and by default unlock the advanced features. We believe v8.32 firware is the latest.

Does anyone know about this or if a key is still required and where it can be purchased.

Those links you provided do not assist with the question I have asked.

Anyone else have ideas as it appears HP no longer issue/sell Smartcache licenses, so not sure how to pogress to unlock advanced Smart Array features.
