HP SPP Upgrade Unable to access iLO using virtual NIC

Hey guys

I have 8 HP Servers and on one of them I'm not able to upgrade with the newest HP SPP:

Reason: Unable to access iLO using virtual NIC. Please ensure virtual NIC is enabled in iLO. Ensure that virtual NIC in the host OS is configured properly. Refer to documentation for more information.

I'm not using the virtual network card on any of the servers. I reinstalled the "iLO 5 Channel Interface Driver for Microsoft Windows Server 2022" and the "Agentless Management Service for Microsoft Windows x64" but with no positive effect.

All the servers should have the same configuration and installation - but only on this one it's not working.

Any ideas?

Request you to deploy online SPP from OS.

Copy the ISO to the server.
extract the contents of the ISO to the folder and run Launch.bat ( batch file ) from contents as administrator 
Follow the onscreen instructions to deploy the SPP.

Let us know if you encounter the same error.

Thanks – I actually tried this before, but it didn’t work for me.
Anyway, I already "fixed" it: HP released a new SPP, and with that one there was no issue.
Did it the same way as before, and it worked on all machines as expected.

The issue should not be considered resolved here, as it obviously only worked by chance.
I have the same problem now.
A DL380 Gen 9 on which earlier SSPs (up to approx. SPP2025_01 (january 2025 with SUM 11.2.0) ran cleanly.

In my opinion, the Virtual NIC feature was already used there too??

A current SPP (SPP2025_07 or 2025_05 ) is now suddenly no longer running.
I therefore have 2 specific questions:
- My server has ILO4 -> does ILO4 generally support the Virtual NIC feature (where to activate?)?
- From which SSP / HPSUM version was it changed that (if ILO4 is not longer supported) older servers can generally no longer perform an actual SSP-bundle-installation?
