I inherited a Proliant DL320 G6. Frankly I am not an HP expert - we use competitor's servers. So I just need some advice to get this box managed on our network.
When I open HP System Management Homepage I do not see any management interface or status information for the SCSI or RAID controller. I do see items such as System cooling, power, processors, etc. I cannot query Firmware information. The only Storage item is the integrated IDE controller.
In Windows Device Manager I can detect the RAID controller as "HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller" so I am confident it is functional.
What HP management software do I need (and where do I find it to install) in order to have a managed server? My ultimate aim is to get the WEBM Providers functional so that I can use a 3rd-party tool (SolarWinds) to remotely manage this Proliant in our lights-out data center. I did download and install package cp13839 (WEBM Providers), but that did not do the trick. I also downloaded cp016490 (HP version control). The version control applet showed up in the system management homepage, but it only lists version information, I had hoped it would have provided links to install missing management components.
Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Standard Service Pack 2 (64bit - not R2)
ProLiant DL320 G6
Serial No. xxxxxxx (for your security, I have removed the serial number from your post above - that's information you probably don't want to make publicly available. - Forums Moderator)

Here is a list of what management software components are on this server, according to the version control application:

Re: HP System Management Homepage - No SCSI Drives or RAID Controller
Thanks for the links.
I installed the newer version of WBEM Providers and SMH.
Installed SMH using all default settings - appears that SMH is limited to local administrators from local console.
Now in SMH I see the "Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller in Slot 0" and the corresponding RAID settings and physical and logical (RAID1) disk volumes status, as well as Firmware information, and the other System information applets are working too.
The Data Source on the SMH is WBEM.
I am not seeing the server in SolarWinds yet, but I think these updated components were what I needed! Thank you for your help finding them.

(Strange I thought I had successfully searched for and found the most up-to-date version yesterday. The versioning information leapt forward from cp013839.exe 2.8.0.0 2/4/2011 to cp015350.exe 9.1.0.0 4/19/2012 !!)
Problems with the HP support site, I consistently got errors:
The service or information you requested is not available at this time. Please try again later.
(Error: temporarily_unavailable_error)

The service or information you requested is not available at this time. Please try again later.
(Error: invocation_failed_error)
(Mentioning this because it was frustrating, but eventually was able to read the support info and get the files downloaded !!)
