HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

Goodmorning,

I'm looking on the HPE infosight, for the option servers/AHS log analyze.

But I'm not able to find this, is this option removed or moved?

Thanks in advance,

Erik van der Heide

Hi @erik56

To view the HPE InfoSight for Servers Status Report and send AHS data, refer to this document.
It might help you.

Greeshma

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

Hi,

Thanks for your answer, but this info wll not help for analyzing the log for issues.
And i resaved a update from hpe infosight, that the hpe servers/ analyzing ahs log is not longer / supported on the hpe side.
Hpe engineers still have a local/ internal tool for analyse ahs logs, but nit available for partners.

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

Hi,

See update Infosight support.

The AHS log analyzer function is removed and no longer supported, the way for analyze is now only true logging a case.

Only HPE employee's are able to use the AHS viewer local on the Laptop, this tool is internal only.

I now this because i'm a former HPE engineer.

see info about this:

Whether HPE is suspected of monopoly

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

I agree that this is monopoly by HPE, and killing the capability for HPE partners to do there work correctly.

The should take a example from Lenovo, and how they tread there partners, with training/documentation and troubleshooting tools.

I was really convinced by HPE for a long time, but now we sell Dell servers to our customers. They don't have this problem. And you can also download firmware without having to log in or register.

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

Hi,

good news, AHS Viewer is back and now inside COM:

Active Health System log analyzer—The Active Health System (AHS) log analyzer allows you to upload an AHS file from an HPE Gen10 or later server. Compute Ops Management parses the file and provides a CSV file that you can use to review the AHS log information. The CSV file includes server inventory and subsystem information. It also includes the last 7 days from the Integrated Management Log, iLO Event Log, and Security Log.

Announcement date: March 12, 2025

It seems to be very well hidden, because I can't find it.

It looks a little different for me:

Incredibly complicated just to look at an AHS.

Hmm, only for the first Time.

Go to User Managment and assign you the Administrator Role for COM.

Thank you so much! That actually worked!

But seriously, it couldn't be more complicated, could it???

Rejoiced too soon. It doesn't work:

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

I just "analysed" one AHS thru COM and I cannot belive this is called a tool. It is basicly just an excell data dump. No analysis performed whatsoever. Not even an excell form or anything, just raw data dump into a file. I would say we were better without it, as this is just embarrassing. I wanted to share this tool to partners, but I would rather nobody knows about it and sends all AHS logs to HPE for analisys

Re: HPE infosight no AHS viewer anymore??

I'm sorry, but I have to agree.

This was at least graphically presented in the past (Website or InfoSight).
Now it's just a rather modest dump.
I hope that at least in the future, things will return to what they were years ago.
