HPE Intelligent Smart Update Errors

I have 2 servers that have HPE Intelligent smart update tools v 5.1.0.0 on them.  Neither recognise any sut commands.  I tried doing an inplace upgrade on one of them but then found the HP Intelligent smart update tools service was no longer displayed as a service.  The new version of ISUT is shown in Programs and features as is v5.1.0.0  I'm able to remove the new version but can't remove 5.1.0.0.

I tried removing v5.1.0.0 but get errors, I've tried doing a repair then trying to remove it.  Nothing seems to work.

Product: Integrated Smart Update Tools for Windows -- Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action: Uninstall, location: C:\windows\Installer\MSI7507.tmp, command: /u

Has anyone else seen this or know how to fix this?

Hi, 

     As per your post, the issue lies with Windows Installer. Please refer this Windows post and get it resolved. 

     After that, you can try updating the latest SUT tool by downloading from HPE Support center. Refer this video for SUT Installation.

The "Error 1721" with HP ISUT indicates a problem with the Windows Installer package. Check the Windows Installer service, run an SFC scan, and clean up temporary files. Attempt a clean ISUT reinstallation. If issues persist, examine the MSI7507.tmp file or contact HP Support. Back up your data before making any changes.
