HPE ProLiant ML30 - No drives found

As far as I can gather, the driver I'm supposed to just enable the Intel VROC from BIOS and load up the old Windows Server 2019 installation media and then load the driver for the things...

But the driver I've got from HPE is not recognized as one.
And even worse, the BIOS says that the Intel VROC does not find any drives.

I know for sure I have the "Embedded Intel VROC SATA software RAID" but still... I'm stuck here now and I can't figure out a way to get forward.

There's also a headache with the Intelligent Provisioning update not going through, but I figure that's just a problem for another day since the server boots up just fine - just that the drives are missing.

Re: HPE ProLiant ML30 - No drives found

Went through the internals and found that the power cord was not connected. So there's my problem I guess...

Still won't find my drive though, eventhough now BIOS sees the drives (I created a RAID1). I suspect I need to figure out the Intel driver issue..?

EDIT: It was the wrong driver I was trying to use. Correct one was here.

To anyone having the same issue in the future - THIS DRIVER COULD BE OUT DATED! Please select the newest version to make sure you're good. Download it to a thumbdrive - my personal suggestion is to either leave it on the first folder or create a new folder like "Intel VROC driver".

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING THE DRIVER:
First make sure your drives actually physically have it's LED's on and blinking. If they're not on, they're not powered. Connect the 6-pin cable. It's super easy, think of a child's block box puzzle. Only one wire will fit it, so find it in the case and connect it.

Configure your RAID first if you want it to be done without the software itself and rather on a BIOS level. I preferred to do it in BIOS just because if Windows breaks something, at least my RAID is untouched.

To install during the Desktop experience:
1. Boot to the installation media you have (probably thumbdrive for the Windows Server)
2. Make your initial configurations, view and accept the license agreement. You'll probably want the Standard Windows Server with Desktop Experience.
3. Install "Custom Windows".
4. When you arrive to the empty Disk drives window, insert your thumbdrive with this driver on into the USB port. DO NOT INSERT IT INTO THE iLO USB IF IT EXISTS ON YOUR MODEL.
5. Click "Load driver". Then click "Browse" and look for the folder the that the driver exists in the thumbdrive.
6. It should be listed in the window a couple of times. If you don't know the difference, just hit next.
7. You should be taken forward after a couple of minutes of loading. Remember to breathe, you're almost done.
8. It should find a disk or two depending on your raid setup.
9. Select the first one, it'll do it's magic.

And you should be good to continue on your installation journey.
