HPE SMART Array Advanced Pack license

Hi,

We have just replaced the motherboard on our G8 HPE Proliant server with a SMARTarray 420i. It is now saying that is it missing an HPE Smary Array Advanced Pack license. I believe the functionality from this license was included with the base array with a firmware release, but I can find no reference to it. If anybody has any references it would be really appreciated.

With a Smart Array Firmware Update released on September 2013, many Features are now included without a License:

• RAID 6 (Advanced Data Guarding)
• RAID 60
• Advanced Capacity Expansion (ACE)
• Secure drive erase
• Performance improvements for video streaming
• Mirror splitting and recombining in offline mode
• Advanced Data Mirroring (ADM)
• Move/Delete LUNs
• Online split mirror

Only SmartCache still needs a separate license.

So, if you don't need SmartCache, update to the latest Firmware.
