SolutionDear jungmann
As per your given information, You are useing HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 controller which is not supported NVMe drives. HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 Controller is performance RAID controller for SAS/SATA drives. Please check the document for HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 Controller. For NVMe support you have to install HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes 4GB Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller. Please check document for Quickspec HPE DL 360 Gen10 for supported MR controller which will support NVMe drives, and part No details.
Hope, I could provide you with clear and helpful instructions. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!
Have a great day!
Thanks & Regards...
Rabindra
