I have a server that rebooted itself several times throughout the early hours of the monring. IML messages indicate PCI and CPU uncorrectable errors with recommendation to update firmware. It looks like the firmware has not been updated possibly ever since purchase as the System ROM is dated 2018. The release notes for the latest SPP says it's appropriate to update SPP up to 12 months old. Obviously, I"m beyond this now in this case. Is it required to step through 4 years of SPPs (assuming I can find the old ones through HPE's site) or will it still work jumping straight to the latest versions?

Re: HPE SPP Install Question
Hi,
Here is the Release Notes for Gen10 SPP. If there are any limitations for updating or skipping a version of the SPP, it will be mentioned here.
Thank You!
I work with HPE but opinions expressed here are mine.

Re: HPE SPP Install Question
Thanks for the reply. I'd looked through the release notes and didn't see any mention of update limitations concerning versions. It was actually in the Gen10 Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) Version 2022.09.01.00 page under SPP Update Compatibility where I saw the statement, "Updating from one SPP to another is suitable when the SPP versions are within 12 months of each other. This means, if the newer SPP was released within 12 months of the currently installed SPP's release date, skipping intermediate releases is appropriate." It says it's suitable and appropriate to update within versions that are 12 months apart, but not required so was hoping for some clarification that it's a recommendationm instead of a hard requirement before we just start experimenting.
