Greetings of the day
I have a dozen BL460c Gen10 blades on iLO 2.48 ( Aug 02 2021 ) and ROM firmware I41 v2.32 ( 03/09/2020 )
What upgrade paths do you recommend to the latest versions ?
- I41 v3.20 (05/27/2024)
- 3.06 Jul 16 2024
Actually, is 2.90_07-20-2023.fwpkg the most recent supported I41 ROM firmware for the BL460c Gen10 ? I've attached screenshots that advise both from ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen10 (I41) Servers | HPE Support and the asset page for one of our blades https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/asset...

Re: Query: iLO 5 Firmware Jump Upgrade for BL460c Gen10 blades
Gah I was fooled by the eccentric sort order in the ROM versions menu - I found v3.20 on the BL460c product page so I expect it's supported OK - but how many steps are required to upgrade from v2.32 ?

SolutionHello,
The installed versions of the iLO and BIOS are outdated.
If there are no compatibility requirements with the firmware and driver versions , I recommend using the SPP to update both the firmware and drivers.
If you only plan to update only the BIOS and iLO, here is the suggested procedure.
iLO : 2.48 -> 2.71 -> 2.78 -> 2.90 -> 3.06 (Latest).
BIOS : 2.32 -> 2.58 -> 2.76 -> 2.90 -> 3.20 (Latest).
Cheers...
