iLO Amplifier Pack - why 2 NICs?

Why does the iLO Amplifier Pack virtual machine have 2 NICs?  Is one used for communication with the iLO's and the other the web management interface an Admin would use to login to it with?  if so, which one is which?  When building the OVA, one is called "legacy" so that is kind of confusing.

Can both NICs be on the same subnet?

Do I need both?

Thanks

NK

Re: iLO Amplifier Pack - why 2 NICs?

Two NICs are provided intentionally to enable iLO Amplifier Pack to connect to two separate networks; one network to connect to iLOs over https connections and another to connect to the internet to access email or IFTTT services. If internet access is available through the management network, then the second NIC can be disabled.
