Install Solaris 10 1/06 on HP bl25p

I've been trying to install Solaris 10 1/06 on HP blade server bl25p without any success. The problem is that the SmartArray 6i controller is not found during installation process and I get "Disks not found" error.
I downloaded the HP driver for Solaris and made an ITU diskette. But as the blade server does not have a legacy floppy drive, I can't feed the driver to the installation program. External USB floppy drive won't help - it is detected not as a floppy drive but as a small SCSI disk.
I tried to copy the whole contents of the ITU diskette to a CD disk. Then when I press 5 for "Apply drivers update" during installation and precc "C" to make Solaris look for the driver on CDROM, I get "Software extracted on CDROM" message but I do not see the message "Installing driver update", which should follow it. As the result, disks are not found and installation stops.
Is there any way to make Solaris see the disks on HP bl25p? Maybe there is an updated version of SmartArray driver which can work from a CD?

mount your local floppy drive with ITU diskette or floppy image via iLO interface.

I don't think that mounting floppy over iLO will help. This "virtual floppy" will appear as an USB device on the blade server and will not be recognized by the Solaris installation script.
But nevertheless I will try this option.

Hi Ivan,

you can integrate the driver into the boot/x86.miniroot which is the miniroot used to install Solaris 10. You can modify miniroot as follows:
First copy the pkg with the driver for the internal raid ctrl in /tmp

# /boot/solaris/bin/root_archive unpack ./x86.miniroot /tmp/miniroot
# pkgadd -d /tmp -R /tmp/miniroot CPQary3
# /boot/solaris/bin/root_archive pack /tmp/x86.miniroot /tmp/miniroot

Now the x86.miniroot can be copied back to your jumpstart server. You still need to add the driver to the OS also after installation, but before reboot.
