Installing different size of HDD to the ML310e Gen8 v2 server

Hello,

I do have proliant ml310e server with 8x300Gb SAS HDDs. I would like to expand capacity of the system. At the moment running Raid 1. I'm thinking upgrading the capacity at least 1Tb. Thought is it possible if I buy two extra HP 1.2TB 12G SAS 10K 2.5in SC ENT HDD 781518-B21. Then it will be 6x300Gb and 2x1.2TB. Question is that kind of configuration works?

Your servers RAID controller may support having more than 1 RAID volume on the server.

Check it, the new drive read or not.

My Raid controller is P420. Can it support 12gb/s 1..2TB disk running with a speed of 6gb/s?
