Installing Server 2008 x64 R2 on RAID
I've used the HP SmartStart disk to create and configure a RAID array and then proceeded to install MS Windows 2008 x64 R2 on the drive.
During the first boot of the installation it fails and reboots the server, then displaying the "the OS failed to boot, select normal, safe boot to continue" message.
Can someone advise please?

Boot controller order > Controller card firt set.

Can I use these driver in the currently half-installed state or do I need to start again?
Also should I go for an install using only the Windows disk?

The message I get when trying to install those drivers on Windows (booting with one disk - RAID off) is that the drivers are not for the version of Windows that is installed.

I am trying to reinstall server 2008 R2 (64). I have the original disks etc but it still can't find the raid drivers. I realise that the operating system is way out of date, but I run a specific application on it. The link to the drivers is invalid now. Do you know where I might still get them. I've tried using the HP Smartstart we got with it and the Server 2008R2 HP DVD, even set the date back a bit.. LOL
I'd like to keep the server as its been a great performer, but after putting in new (Identical) drives, creating the arrays and logical drives I just can't get past the driver screen when installing windows
Help
