Scrap the smartstart and just boot off the server 2003 cd. It even had the netraid driver ;)

Re: Installing Windows 2003 on a Proliant DL360 Generation 1 server
Tried using SmartStart using Manual configuration; then selected W2K/Other. However, every time I am asked to insert the OS CD, comes back with non system disk or disk error. I tested the CD and it is a bootable CD.
Please advise
Thank you

Re: Installing Windows 2003 on a Proliant DL360 Generation 1 server
Be sure to configure the array (being a 360 you will likely use RAID1). Also, be sure to set your boot controller. After that you should be good to go.
If it still fails you can download the Integrated Smart Array Driver here:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/17777.html
And then copy this to a floppy and boot off the Win2k3 cd. Press F6 to provide alternate driver, load floppy, proceed with base OS install.
Once it is up and running, install SNMP via add/remove programs in windows. Then load the PSP 7.3 drivers found here:
