Re: Memory problems with ProLiant ML330 G6

I have installed 2 x 2GB RDIMMS - Partnr : 500656-B21 from HP, there is no mix of memory. The two memory modules are the same.

Re: Memory problems with ProLiant ML330 G6

Yes, the first 2 GB (500656-B21) came with the server and the second memory is exactly the same, also 2 GB (500656-B21) from HP.
I config the server with the following link

Re: Memory problems with ProLiant ML330 G6

Both memory modules are the same. I see a mark of Motorola.

Do you mind.

For lock-step mode, channel 3 must be unpopulated. DIMMs in channels 1 and 2 will be installed in pairs. The paired slots will be 1,4; 2,5; 3;6 on a 3DPC system or 1,4; 2,5; on a 2DPC system

When this is correct, then the memory config is slot 1 and slot 4 and not slot 3 and 6 ?
No mixing DIMM voltage; all DIMMs must be the same voltage

Re: Memory problems with ProLiant ML330 G6

Thanks for the help, the bios update is maybe the solution.

I will check it tomorrow.
