I've just installed W2003 32-bit R2 SP2 on a new DL380 G5. I have installed Firmware Maintenance 7.91, the latest support pack and run all Windows Updates (inc optional).
Looking under the Device Manager "other devices" I can see there are PCI drivers missing for an unknown device at location "PCI bus 1, device 4, function6".
Also reported is an unknown device "on PCI standard ISA bridge" which I guess is linked.
Can anyone assist please? I can't get through on the HP tech support line....
Thanks!
Paul

Re: Missing PCI device driver
Your recommendation removed the "PCI Standard ISA bridge" from the device list.
I'm still left with the unknown PCI device though, any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks again

Let me know if the yellow bang persists. :)

SolutionAlso, have you got any PCI controllers / cards installed in the server? Try to remove the Unknown device (from the device manager) & reboot the server. It should detect & display the device. May be you can install a standard driver for this device.

Re: Missing PCI device driver
The last suggestion nailed it! I was absolutely convinced I'd already run the Support Pack, but I ran it again and guess what - it required 30+ updates. I think I'd kicked it off last time but not actually clicked [Install]. I think I need a few days off!
Many thanks for your assistance.
