ML 350 G6 Processor Upgrade
Hello,
I have a decommissioned HP Proliant ML350 G6 server with Intel E5620 and I was wondering if it is ok to replace the process with a non HP intel processor E5645 part number BX80614E5645 or do I have to use HP Intel E5645 part number 638317-B21?
I know the HP part number is a kit with a heat sink and the intel part number is processor only.
Could I just by the Intel processor and reuse the HP heat sink or does the processor need to be an HP to work with the HP Proliant server?
