ML 370 backup device

We're using a Proliant ML370 G1 server with a 12/24 DAT internal installed. We need more capacity, but when I look at the specs of new drives they are not compatible with this G1 server. I was thinking about an AIT 50/100 internal, but unfortunately it's not compatible according to the specsheet. What drive(s) can I use with a minimum of 50gb uncompressed capacity?

Re: ML 370 backup device

Hi Marco

Their is an int AIT 50-gb hot plug AIT tape option part 215 487-b21 that is supported by your ml370 g1. (supported in the hot plug drive bays).

Re: ML 370 backup device

Thanks Claude, but there's only one problem: my hot plug bays are all in use :) So I need to have an internal or an external device.

Marco

Then you need to get for the external AIT 50-GB part 157767-001

Re: ML 370 backup device

Ok, thanks. But the compatibility chart for the 50/100 AIT device does not mention the ML370 G1. Only > G2. This also applies to the 100/200 AIT.
