ML150 G3 Display issue

I have a problem running RHEL5 on my ML150 G3. The bottom portion of the display is jumbled and unreadable. The OS knows it is there since I can move the mouse and windows into that area. Also I can not seem to reset the display resolution to anything other than 1024x768. This is not a hardware problem but apparently a RH/HP issue. Is anyone familiar with this problem?
