ML150 G6 & Server 2008 R2: "Storage Agents: Accelerator Board Status Change"
Hi
Every time i reboot this server i receive a Status Trap:
The system has detected the following event:
SNMP Trap: 3038
Date time: 10/13/2010 03:21:39 AM
Computer: SERVER.domain.local
Source: Storage Agents
Type: Informational
Category: (4)
Description:
An 'Accelerator Board Status Change' trap signifies that the agent has detected a change in the status of an array accelerator cache board.
Details:
IDA Accelerator Status 'INVALID'
MEMORY 0
Controller Slot # 4
Model 38
Serial Number ''
In the system management homepage i do see the logical drive on this controller with status "Accelerator: Disabled". Do i have to enable it? where?
Thanks.

Hello,
i seems you cache battery "past away". If your server is still in warranty, contact hp support.

Re: ML150 G6 & Server 2008 R2: "Storage Agents: Accelerator Board Status Change"
I am having this same issue with 2 different ML150 G6 Servers (new).
It happened when I enabled write caching in the ACU.
What was your resolution?

Hi,
Its either an issue with Battery or Cache memory attached to the controller.
Before replacing any part, update the firmware on the controller to the latest and test.
Thanks
