The server has 2-80GB drives RAID1 but we need more storage space. 2-250GB drives were connected to the 2 additional SATA ports but the drives were not detected during POST. Is it necessary to enter the BIOS setup to enable the additional ports? Will the controller support 2 arrays?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: ML310 G2 SATA Array - add array
Are the two drives detected in CTRL+A?

Solution
Ahh, I think I found your answer here:
*NOTE: A maximum of two hard drives are supported when integrated RAID is enabled. Use of hot plug SATA hard drives in positions 2 and/or 3 requires either a non-RAID configuration or installation of the HP 6-port SATA RAID controller (P/N 372953-B21) and the HP 4-port SATA/SAS target fan cable (P/N 389653-B21).

This is from the Storage section. Seems that in order to do what you want, you'd have to order a new PCI storage controller or turn off raid alltogether.

Re: ML310 G2 SATA Array - add array
I guess we will have to add another controller.
Thanks for finding the answer so quickly!
