ML350 G4p Installation W2003 Server

Hi,
I have problems with the installed controller in the server. It seems to be an HP 6-Port SATA-Controller.
But in fact it is an Adaptec 2910SA. Nice to know.
Well I'm proud know in them moment to have setup an Array with RAID 10(4 Discs with each 250 GB ->Arraysize: approx. 450GB).
And i have at least the right controller driver on a disc to put in during the server installation (F6).
And a wonder, Windows wants me to make a partition. But the maximum available size is not as expected 450000MB. It is 450MB!!.
Well folks try to install Windows 2003 Server on a partition with 450MB. I think it makes no sense.
At the moment I've no more ideas!
Any suggestions?

Hi Tilo,

sofar so well (wie wir deutschen sagen würden) gab es denn keine smartstart cd mit dem neuen Server in dem du mit einem Wizard geführt wirst bis zur Installation? Das wäre die empfohlene Methode zur Installation des Servers da du auch gleich alle Treiber etc mit bekommst. Ausserdem wäre ich bei den P6 SATA Controllern vorsichtig da gibts ständig neue Updates von HP. Da ich den Controller selbst nicht kenne wäre wäre eine weitere Variante das im Setup des Controllers einzustellen. Wolltest Du die Boot und Systempartition 450GB gross machen? Würd ich dir nicht empfehlen.

danke für die Antwort.
Nein ich will die Startpartition keine 450GB gross machen.
Aber mittlerweile hab ich die Lösung gefunden.
Die Ursache liegt im BIOS vom RAID-Controller.
Er hat per Default als Massangabe MB stehen.
Ein kurzer Switch auf GB und das Problem war behobe.
