ML350 Ram Error
I have done quite a bit of testing. I currently have one xeon gold 6148. I am trying to use all 16gb 2400 ecc ram. If i put ram in 3,5,8,10. I get no issues or errors. Anything above that it starts complaing that nothing is in the right slot. Even if I fill up every single slot with the exact same ram, it will complain that it isn't in the right spot. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Extra info
Depending on the amount of ram I get
error 233 dimm inilization error (shows all ram is good in the bios)
error 5447 - dimm inilitalization error
error 511 - dimms have been mapped out
I have updated to the newest firmware, which changed nothing.
I have swapped out different sticks of ram as well as tested all ram and there is no issue.

Re: ML350 Ram Error
Hi,
I think you are using Gold 62xx processor, because 6140 is not supported.
Please refer to the QuickSpecs.

Re: ML350 Ram Error
@Suman_1978
It is 6148, but I swear I saw it was supported on the HP website. Even though I see on your link it is not. I will find it in the morning. Seems that may be the issue though

Re: ML350 Ram Error
I switched back to a for sure compatible xeon bronze. I have memory in the below locations. All are recognized in the bios. There is something about slot 11, but there is nothing in 11. I have reseated and tried different ram in dimm 12. Please help.

Re: ML350 Ram Error
Also I tried switching the hpe fast fault to advanced ecc, but it will not save in the bios after a reset. Not sure why of that either.

Re: ML350 Ram Error
Hi,
Thankyou for sharing more info.
As the error suggests, 271-Processor X, DIMM Y could not be authenticated as genuine, are you using HPE Memory or others?
Update the System ROM if still not updated.
If the problem persists, please log a support case with HPE.
