ML350p Gen8 Server Kernel Panic when try to install with Oracle Linux 5.8

Hi,

 

I try to install Oracle Linux 5.8 on ML350p Gen8 Server and in the installation process, it shows Kernel Panic.

Please help if you do have a resolution to this problem.

Hi There,

 

As per OS support matrix : http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/hplinuxcert-oracle.html Oracle Linux 5.8 is not listed as a tested/certified Operating system.

 

However, you may try different version of OS or any other operating system to check the compatibility issue.

We are facing the same issue, however it is not supported with ML350Gen8 Servers.
