Re: Operating System failure
Hi,
Try to check if there are a hardware failure like DIMM or hard drive.
There are no specific application runing when the BSOD appear?
Also if you want to know the root cause of the bleu screen you can configure a memory dump :
Procedure to capture a kernel memory dump file :
Disable the ASR in system BIOS before generating the kernel memory dump.
Refer <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254649> for getting kernel memory dump.
Step1:
=>Make sure the page file is in C: drive and has the size of at least 1 times the amount of physical RAM.
=>Also ensure that your BIOS are up to date.
=>Under System properties>Advanced tab> Setting button under Startup & Recovery, Make sure the dump type is selected as “Kernel Memory Dump” and also check the path. By default it should be %SystemRoot%
Thanks

Re: Operating System failure
Hi,
adding to previous post.
the STOP CODE = 0x000000D1 is related to storage driver.
- Make sure you have latest controller driver and firmware from HP and STORport driver from Microsoft.
- If you have NIC teaming configured in this system then disable the RSS and TCP Chimney from the registry by following the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 936594, You may experience network-related problems after you install Windows Server 2003 SP2 or the Scalable Networking Pack on a Windows Server 2003-based computer: Click here to view Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 936594 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936594/en-us) .
or
Run the update to turn off the default SNP features (see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 948496).
there have been many post around this topic. take a look at few of them:
Microsoft KB Article 912944
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912944/en-us
Note: Although this Hotfix contains STORPORT Version 5.2.3790.2630, HP recommends upgrading to later versions of the STORPORT storage driver as they become available from Microsoft.
Also see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 948496.
hope this helps,
How to say thanks.... Click on Star Kudos!
Cheers!
