ML370 933 with a compaq 430 array
I need an older server for testing purposes and I want to use the ML370 that we have around. I am trying to configure the array but I need some kind of floppy disk to do so. I have tried all my smartstart cd's with no luck. Anyone know where I can get this cd?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: ML370 933 with a compaq 430 array
The 431 should have an F8 option during post which will allow you to configure an array. Previous versions, including the 4200, does not have this. Is it the 431 you're using?
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: ML370 933 with a compaq 430 array
Sorry, you are correct, it is a 431. The option that I get is to hit F10 for System Partition Configuration or F1 to continue. I hit F10 and then configure hardware. I then go to configure the containers and I am prompt for a floppy. I cannot find this floppy.
Thanks

Re: ML370 933 with a compaq 430 array
If you can press F10 at the end of post and it takes you to the system options, then I believe the controller is already configured.
Before you get to the F10 prompt (when the 431 initializes) you should see the F8 prompt to configure the 431.
