ML530 with Smart Array 5312
Inherited a server with low space on Array C, logical drive 3 that is RAID 5. Added another disk which states unused.
If I go into Extend logical drives for #3 and increase with the recommended amount will that support Windows 2003 server with Dynamic disk?
Just didn't want to Extend and have a data disaster on the current data drive (logical drive 3).
Once that occurs then it should be reflected in Windows 2003 disk management for "logical drive 3", correct?
Just want to get that new drive added to the array and not used to this wizard type for the Smart Array 5312.
thanks
